Based in New York and London, CD&R’s investment professionals include people who have skills either financing businesses or managing companies. The Firm’s Operating Partners have collectively spent approximately 250 years in senior management positions across a range of industry sectors at more than 50 companies, notably ABB, Disney, Emerson Electric, GE, IBM, Pepsi, SunGard, and Unilever.

Mr. Agarwal joined CD&R in 2020 and is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities in the technology sector. He played a key role in the Firm’s investment in Epicor. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Agarwal spent almost ten years at EQT Partners and TPG Capital. He began his career in the technology, media, and telecom group of the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs & Co.

Mr. Ahn joined CD&R in 2011. Previously, he was a partner and head of the Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions service line at McKinsey & Company. In that capacity, he worked closely with management teams from multi-national companies regarding strategies to enter Asian markets, as well as large Asian companies expanding their businesses outside of their home markets. Mr. Ahn helped establish CD&R’s joint venture in China and serves as a partner at the Firm.

Mr. Babiarz has been with the Firm for 31 years and specializes in structuring complex financings and managing the Firm’s relationships with debt providers. Mr. Banga joined CD&R's London office in 2010 after a 33-year career at Unilever, where he served as executive board member and president of Global Foods, Home & Personal Care businesses. He was also responsible for Unilever's sustainability agenda. Previously, Mr. Banga served as president, Home & Personal Care Asia and as chairman and managing director of Unilever's operating company in India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Mr. Banga played the lead operating role on CD&R's investments in Diversey and Mauser Group and helped establish the Firm's joint venture in India. He served on the Prime Minister of India's Council of Trade & Industry from 2004 to 2014. Mr. Banga is the senior independent non-executive director on the board of GlaxoSmithKline plc, and was previously the senior independent director on the board of Marks and Spencer plc. Mr. Banga was appointed chairman of Marie Curie in 2018 and non-executive director of The Economist Group Board in 2020.

Ms. Beggs joined CD&R in 2020 after advising the Firm for 16 years. She is responsible for leading human resources at the Firm, as well as driving people and organizational related initiatives aligned with value creation at portfolio companies. Ms. Beggs continues to be involved with the CD&R HR Council to coach and mentor CD&R portfolio company HR leaders. Her demonstrated thought leadership and passion for diversity and inclusion supports the Firm’s strong commitment to DE&I. Most recently, Ms. Beggs was a partner at PwC where she led a consulting practice that specialized in value creation through a people and organization lens. She spent the early years of her career as a pensions actuary and subsequently specialized in optimizing the human capital aspects of deals.

Mr. Berges joined the Firm in 2006 and is a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, he served as vice chairman and president at Emerson Electric Co., where he led corporate growth and development activities and was responsible for the Company’s motors and appliance components, industrial automation, and network power businesses. Prior to Emerson, he worked at General Electric Company. Mr. Berges served as chairman of Sally Beauty Holdings from 2006 to 2012, chairman of HD Supply from 2007 to 2014, chairman of Hussmann International from 2011 to 2016, and director of Diversey from 2009 to 2011, during CD&R’s investments in those companies. He is a director of PPG Industries, Inc. and former chairman of the National Association of Manufacturers. Mr. Berges received a presidential appointment to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations in 2005.

Ms. Blanco joined CD&R in 2018 as counsel after spending over four years in the investment management group at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP where she split her time between fund formation and regulatory matters. Mr. Compton became a partner at the Firm in 2015 having served as an operating advisor since 2013. Mr. Compton is a 29-year veteran and former president of PepsiCo, Inc. and former chairman of US Foods. Mr. Compton’s career at PepsiCo started at Frito-Lay in 1983. In 2002, after serving in positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of operational and sales capacities, he was appointed vice chairman and president of Frito-Lay North America. Mr. Compton went on to serve as CEO of PepsiCo Americas Foods, which included Frito-Lay North America, Quaker Oats brands, and all of PepsiCo’s Latin American food and snack businesses. He serves on the board of First Horizon National Corporation, is chair of the board at The University of Tennessee, and was previously on the board of the Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc.

Mr. Conway is vice chairman of CD&R and the chairman of the Firm’s Investment Committee, which evaluates all potential new investments. He served as managing partner of CD&R from 2004 to 2015. Throughout his 26 years at the Firm, Mr. Conway has been active in many of the Firm’s investments and organizational initiatives and works closely with the CEO on all aspects of the Firm’s operations. Mr. Fradin joined CD&R in 2016. He played the lead operating role in the Firm’s investment in TRANZACT, serving as chairman until CD&R’s exit. He served as president and CEO at SunGard Data Systems, a $3 billion software and IT services provider with 15,000 customers across more than 70 countries from 2011 until the company’s acquisition by FIS in 2015. Prior to SunGard, he served as the chairman and CEO of Aon Hewitt, a global leader in human resource solutions. During his tenure, Mr. Fradin oversaw the 2010 merger between Aon Consulting and Hewitt Associates, having been CEO of Hewitt since 2006. Previously, he was CEO of BISYS Group, Inc. and held a range of senior executive positions at Automatic Data Processing, both providers of business outsourcing solutions. He worked many years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he was a senior partner. Mr. Fradin serves on the boards of TransUnion and Hamilton Insurance Group.

Mr. Franco joined CD&R in 2006 after advising the Firm for 15 years. He is responsible for managing relationships with critical external stake-holders, including limited partners. He leads the fundraising team and is involved in related capital access activities. He serves on the board of the Private Capital Research Institute, a not-for-profit corporation focused on advancing the understanding of private capital’s role in the global economy. Previously, Mr. Franco served as chairman and CEO of Broadgate Consultants, an advisor to private equity managers, which he founded in 1987 in conjunction with U.K.-based securities firm, Hoare Govett. He has successfully launched a global publishing business, PEI Media, serving the alternative asset industry and, earlier, practiced corporate law.

Mr. Gogel is in his 32nd year with the Firm. He served as chief executive officer from 1998 to 2019 and has served as chairman since 2012. Mr. Gogel is a member of the Investment Committee and plays an active role in shaping the Firm’s strategy, recruiting talent, sourcing new investment opportunities, participating in portfolio company operating reviews, and leading CEO roundtables. Earlier in his career with CD&R, Mr. Gogel led several investments that established the Firm’s reputation for navigating and completing complex carve-outs from major corporations, including the Lexmark International acquisition from IBM, which was named by Private Equity International as one of the 30 most influential private equity deals of all time. Other notable transactions were divestitures from Phillip Morris/Kraft (Alliant Foods), General Motors (Allison Engine), Gillette (Jafra Cosmetics), Xerox (Van Kampen), and Westinghouse (WESCO). He previously was a partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc. and a managing director at Kidder, Peabody & Company, Inc. where he founded and led its merchant banking group.

She participated in over 150 transactions, spending a majority of her time advising private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies across a wide variety of industries.

Most recently, Mr. Hawn served as chairman and CEO of Quest Software from the time it was carved out from Dell in 2016 until 2019. Prior to Quest, he served as the chairman and CEO of Vertafore, a provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, and Attachmate, a developer of software used to manage access to enterprise applications and databases. Previously, he was senior vice president of operations at BMC Software. He spent ten years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner. Mr. Hawn has served as a director on more than a dozen boards for publicly traded and privately held software companies.

Prior to Danaher, Mr. Knisely co-founded Colfax Corporation, a designer, manufacturer, and distributer of fluid handling products, serving as president and CEO. Previously, Mr. Knisely was president and CEO of AMF Industries, a privately held diversified manufacturer, and spent ten years at Emerson Electric Co. He serves on the board of trustees of the Darden School Foundation at his alma mater, the University of Virginia.

Mr. Krenicki joined CD&R in 2013 after a 29-year career at the General Electric Company. He previously served as chairman of ServiceMaster, CHC Group, and as interim CEO of three CD&R portfolio companies. He is a former vice chairman of GE and former president and CEO of GE Energy. At GE Energy, his responsibilities included oversight of GE’s $50 billion revenue oil & gas, power & water, and energy management businesses, which employed more than 100,000 people in more than 165 countries. Mr. Krenicki held several leadership roles with GE prior to leading GE Energy, including president and CEO of GE Plastics and GE Transportation. Mr. Krenicki also serves as an independent director of Devon Energy Corporation and is a member of the National Petroleum Council.

Ms. Martin joined CD&R in 2020. She focuses on the supply chains and works with the procurement leaders at the Firm's portfolio companies. Previously, Ms. Martin held various leadership positions at General Electric, most recently as chief commercial officer for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. Prior to that role, she was senior vice president in charge of global supply chain where she led sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics for operations in North America, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Martin also held leadership roles at GE Energy, including leading $25 billion of worldwide logistics operations and carrier management, and heading the Electrical Center of Excellence with responsibility for sourcing and development of a $3 billion electrical and electronics supply chain for the broad portfolio of GE businesses in the energy industry.

Previously, Ms. Peterson served as CEO of Bayer CropScience AG, CEO of Bayer Medical Care, and president of Bayer HealthCare AG’s Diabetes Care Division. She started her career at McKinsey and has held executive positions at Medco Health Solutions (formerly known as Merck-Medco), Nabisco, and Whirlpool. In addition, Mr. Quarta is chairman of WPP plc and Smith & Nephew plc. Prior to CD&R, he served as CEO of BBA Group plc from 1993 to 2001, leading the successful restructuring and reorganization of the company, and continued to serve as chairman from 2001 to 2006. Most recently, Mr Satchell served as CTO of Zume Inc, building AI, logistics and robotic systems to improve sustainability in the food supply chain. Prior to Zume, he served as chief product officer and head of consumer engineering at Comcast, responsible for product, design, and technology for consumer video, high speed data/Wi-Fi, IoT, and home security. Previously, Mr Satchell was CTO of Nike, helping to build their digital and direct-to-consumer businesses, and CTO and EVP of R&D for IGT, the global leader in casino systems and entertainment. He started his executive career at Microsoft where he helped to build and ship Xbox 360 and was CTO of the interactive entertainment business.
