• James D. Ahn,

    Managing Director
    Mr. Ahn joined CD&R in 2011. Previously, he was a partner and head of the Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions service line at McKinsey & Company. In that capacity, he worked closely with management teams from multi-national companies regarding strategies to enter Asian markets, as well as large Asian companies expanding their businesses outside of their home markets. Mr. Ahn helped establish the Firm’s joint venture in China and serves as a Partner at the firm. He earned a B.A. in economics and an M.S. in industrial engineering from Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

    Mr. Campelli joined CD&R in 2015. He is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities and played a key role in the acquisition of Safway by Brand Industrial Services. Previously, he held positions at Sageview Capital, Duquesne Capital Management, and KKR, and worked in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He currently serves as a Director of Brand and Exaro Energy III LLC. Mr. Campelli graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in economics.

    Philos Carnio


    Mr. Carnio joined CD&R in 2015 and is based in London. He is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities. He played a key role in the Firm’s investment in Belron. Previously, he was a member of the investment team at Doughty Hanson, a private equity firm. Prior to that, he worked at Greenhill, a boutique investment banking firm. Mr. Carnio graduated from Universit´┐Ż Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy and the London School of Economics.

    Mr. Flaishans joined CD&R in 2010 and is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities. He played a key role in the Firm’s investments in Envision Healthcare, Roofing Supply Group and TruGreen. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Flaishans worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Flaishans graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in business administration and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

    Ms. Gore has been with CD&R for 23 years and is responsible for accounting, finance and compliance matters. She was previously with Richard A. Eisner & Company, where she served as an audit manager. Ms. Gore is a certified public accountant and holds a business degree in accounting from Iona College.


  • Daniel G. Jacobs


    Mr. Jacobs joined CD&R in 2010 after serving as a consultant to the Firm for six years. He focuses on global investor relations and communications and leads the CD&R Builds initiative, which includes responsible investment, ESG, and citizenship efforts. Previously, he led the private equity group at Broadgate Consultants, a financial consulting firm. Mr. Jacobs holds both a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

    Mr. Lachner joined CD&R in 2012 and is based in London. He plays a key role in the Firm's investments in Exova, Mauser Group, Kalle Group and Belron. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of J.P.Morgan in London. Mr. Lachner studied at the Franco-German undergraduate program of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), Princeton University and earned a double master’s degree from Sciences Po and the London School of Economics.

Previously, he worked at Mubadala Development Company and Citigroup Investment Banking. Mr. Laï graduated from ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris.

    Mr. Lee joined CD&R in 2016 and is responsible for information technology. Previously, Mr. Lee spent eight years as head of technology for Morgan Stanley's Merchant Banking Division and eight years as head of technology for Credit Suisse's Private Equity Division. Mr. Lee holds an M.B.A. degree from New York University and B.E. degree from Cooper Union.

Eng. in electrical engineering and computer science and a B.S. in management science and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

    Senior Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer
    Mr. Malfettone joined the Firm in 2010 and serves as Senior Managing Director. His roles include Chief Compliance Officer and leader of the Firm’s Portfolio Procurement and Portfolio Insurance Programs. Previously, he was Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Oak Hill Capital Partners. Mr. Malfettone spent 12 years in senior leadership positions and as an Officer at GE Capital serving as the Corporate Controller, Group CFO and Managing Director in the Private Equity Business. He also served as the EVP and CFO for MacDermid Inc., and as a Partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. He serves on the University of Connecticut Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Malfettone, a CPA, holds a B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut.

    Mr. Margarido joined CD&R in 2018 and is based in Luxembourg. He supports the Firm’s portfolio companies from a finance, accounting, tax, compliance and governance perspective. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Margarido worked at Anchorage Capital Luxembourg where he was focused on European tax structuring matters. He served on the board of several Luxembourgish and Irish investment companies. Mr. Margarido began his career working in the tax departments of EY and PwC in different countries. Mr. Margarido graduated from Instituto Superior de Gestao in Lisbon with a management degree and holds a post-graduation in taxation also from Instituto Superior de Gestao and a post-graduation in finance and control from CEMAF-ISCTE in Lisbon.

    Counsel
    Terrianne Patnode joined CD&R in 2014 as Counsel after spending ten years at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Ms. Patnode supports CD&R’s investment professionals by reviewing and negotiating contracts in early stages of deal due diligence and handles the legal review of procurement agreements for CD&R and the portfolio companies. She also advises CD&R’s information technology, compliance, finance and human resources departments on a variety of in-house legal matters and interfaces with portfolio company legal departments, particularly on litigation matters and corporate governance issues. Ms. Patnode received a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Rutgers University.

    Mr. Smith joined CD&R’s global investor relations team in 2011. In addition to CD&R fundraising activities, he also helped establish and plays a significant continuing role with the Firm’s joint venture in India. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Smith served as a managing director at Lehman Brothers, a partner at New York Life Capital Partners and an investment professional at J.H. Whitney & Co. Mr. Smith earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

    Mr. Storch joined CD&R’s London office in 2011. He plays a key role in the Firm’s investments in Kalle Group and Mauser Group, serving as a Director of both companies. Previously, he worked at Bain Capital in both London and Munich, where he played a key role in a number of private equity transactions. Prior to Bain Capital, he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in both London and Frankfurt. Mr. Storch graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master of Engineering degree.

    Ms. Strauss joined CD&R in 2017 and focuses on global investor relations and reporting. Ms. Strauss held prior roles at PGIM Real Estate, the global real estate investment business of Prudential Financial, and GCM Grosvenor, formerly the Credit Suisse Customized Fund Investment Group. Prior to that, she held investor relations roles at Paul Capital Partners and Broadgate Consultants as well as editorial roles at Venture Economics. Ms. Strauss earned a B.B.A. in International Business from George Washington University.
