Clayton M. Armstrong
Mr. Armstrong, currently based in the London office, has been with the Firm for eight years. Most recently, he played an instrumental role in the acquisition of HD Supply. Mr. Armstrong also played key roles in the acquisition of Rexel, the acquisition and sale of Brakes, and the refinancing and sale of Remington. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley in both the private investment and mergers and acquisitions divisions. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. -
P. Christian Broberg
Mr. Broberg joined CD&R’s global investor relations team in 2006. Based in London, he focuses on Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining CD&R, he held senior positions in sales and marketing in private wealth management and capital markets at Morgan Stanley. Previously, he worked at S.G. Warburg Securities and Salomon Brothers. Mr. Broberg has advised family offices as well as major European financial institutions and pension funds on alternative investment programs. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.Sc. in civil engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. -
Theresa A Gore
Ms. Gore, a certified public accountant, has been with CD&R for sixteen years and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of financial management operations, including accounting and budgeting functions. She was previously with Richard A. Eisner & Company, where she served as an audit manager. Ms. Gore holds a business degree in accounting from Iona College. -
Marco Herbst
Mr. Herbst joined the Firm’s London office in 2006. He has played a key role in several of the Firm’s investments, including the acquisition of BCA. Previously, he worked for Duke Street Capital, where his responsibilities included transaction origination, execution and transformation. Mr. Herbst also worked at Merrill Lynch & Co., advising financial institutions across Europe on acquisitions as well as debt and equity transactions. Mr. Herbst is a graduate of Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy. -
Sarah Kim
Ms. Kim joined CD&R in 2008. She is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities and played a key role in the Firm’s acquisition of Diversey. Previously, she held positions at Metalmark Capital and McCown De Leeuw, both private equity firms, and worked in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Ms. Kim received a B.A. in economics and political science, cum laude, from Yale University, as well as a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School. -

Mr. Lax Bañon joined the Firm’s London office in 2007 and played a key role in the Firm’s acquisition of Diversey. Previously, he worked in the private equity group at Merrill Lynch & Co. where he participated in the execution of a number of investments and exits in Europe. Mr. Lax Bañon graduated from ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris. -

Previously Mr. Rahe worked at Capital Z Partners, a private equity firm, and SAB Capital, an equity-focused hedge fund. He has also worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Rahe holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. -

Previously, Mr. Rouzier worked in the investment banking division of JPMorgan and as a management consultant. He graduated from the ENSAM Graduate School of Engineering and ESSEC Graduate School of Management in Paris. -

Mr. Shapiro joined CD&R in 2002. He has contributed to the evaluation and execution of numerous transactions during his tenure, including the investments in BCA and ServiceMaster and the sale of Kinko’s, Inc. to FedEx. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co. and at Perry Capital, a multi-strategy investment firm. Mr. Shapiro earned a B.S. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. -
Derek L. Strum
Mr. Strum joined CD&R in 2003. He has evaluated numerous investment opportunities and worked on the Firm’s investments in VWR and Culligan. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley and at York Capital Management, a multi-strategy investment firm. Mr. Strum graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from Emory University with a B.A. in economics and earned an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia University. -
J. L. Zrebiec
Mr. Zrebiec joined CD&R in 2004. He has evaluated numerous investment opportunities and contributed to the execution of several of the Firm’s transactions, including the investments in NCI and Rexel and the investment in, and subsequent IPO of, Hertz. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Zrebiec graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in economics and earned an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia University.
