• James D. Ahn,

    Managing Director
    Mr. Ahn joined CD&R in 2011. Previously, he was a partner and head of the Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions service line at McKinsey & Company. In that capacity, he worked closely with management teams from multi-national companies regarding strategies to enter Asian markets, as well as large Asian companies expanding their businesses outside of their home markets. Mr. Ahn helped establish the Firm’s joint venture in China. He earned a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

    Andrew J. Campelli


    Mr. Campelli joined CD&R in 2015 and is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities. Previously, he was a member of the investment team at Sageview Capital, a private equity firm. Prior to that, he held positions at Duquesne Capital Management, KKR and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Campelli graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in economics. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Exaro Energy III LLC.

    Mr. Carnio joined CD&R in 2015 and is based in London. He is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities. Previously, he was a member of the investment team at Doughty Hanson, a private equity firm. Prior to that, he worked at Greenhill, a boutique investment banking firm. Mr. Carnio graduated from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy and London School of Economics.

    Mr. Flaishans joined CD&R in 2010 and is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities. He has played a key role in the Firm’s investments in Envision Healthcare, Roofing Supply Group and TruGreen. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Flaishans worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Flaishans graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.


  • Theresa A. Gore


    Ms. Gore has been with CD&R for 22 years and is responsible for accounting, finance and compliance matters. She was previously with Richard A. Eisner & Company, where she served as an audit manager. Ms. Gore is a certified public accountant and holds a business degree in accounting from Iona College.


  • Daniel G. Jacobs


    Mr. Jacobs joined CD&R in 2010 after serving as a consultant to the Firm for six years. He focuses on global investor relations and communications as well as the Firm’s sustainable business initiatives. Previously, he led the private equity group at Broadgate Consultants, a financial consulting firm. Mr. Jacobs holds both a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

    Ms. Kim joined CD&R in 2008. She is principally engaged in evaluating investment opportunities and played a key role in the Firm’s acquisition and subsequent sale of Diversey, the public and secondary offerings of HD Supply and ServiceMaster, and the investments in David’s Bridal and Vets First Choice. Previously, she held positions at Metalmark Capital and McCown De Leeuw, both private equity firms, and worked in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Ms. Kim currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Vets First Choice. Ms. Kim received a B.A. in economics and political science from Yale University, as well as a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.

    Mr. Lachner joined CD&R in 2012 and is based in London. He plays a key role in the Firm's investments in Exova, Mauser and Kalle. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of JPMorgan in London. Mr. Lachner studied at the Franco-German undergraduate program of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), Princeton University and earned a double master’s degree from Sciences Po and the London School of Economics.

Previously, he worked at Mubadala Development Company, where he helped to establish Mubadala Capital. Prior to that, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup.     Senior Managing Director
    Mr. Malfettone joined the Firm in 2010 and serves as Senior Managing Director. His roles include Chief Compliance Officer and leader of the Firm’s Portfolio Procurement and Portfolio Insurance Programs. Previously, he was Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Oak Hill Capital Partners. Mr. Malfettone spent 12 years in senior leadership positions and as an Officer at GE Capital serving as the Corporate Controller, Group CFO and Managing Director in the Private Equity Business. He also served as the EVP and CFO for MacDermid Inc., and as a Partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. He serves on the University of Connecticut Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Malfettone, a CPA, holds a B.S. degree from the University of Connecticut.

  • Terrianne Patnode,

    In-House Counsel
    Terrianne Patnode joined CD&R in 2014 as Counsel after spending 10 years at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Ms. Patnode supports CD&R’s investment professionals by reviewing and negotiating contracts in early stages of deal due diligence and handles the legal review of procurement agreements for CD&R and the portfolio companies. She also advises CD&R’s information technology, compliance, finance and human resources departments on a variety of in-house legal matters and interfaces with portfolio company legal departments, particularly on litigation matters and corporate governance issues. Ms. Patnode received a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Rutgers University.

    Mr. Shapiro joined CD&R in 2002. He has played a key role in the evaluation and execution of numerous transactions during his tenure, including the investments in ServiceMaster, Solenis, Tranzact, TruGreen and Univar, as well as the sale of Kinko’s, Inc. to FedEx and the separation of TruGreen from ServiceMaster. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co. and at Perry Capital, a multi-strategy investment firm. He serves as a Director of Solenis, Tranzact, TruGreen and Univar. Mr. Shapiro earned a B.S. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

    Managing Director
    Mr. Smith joined CD&R’s global investor relations team in 2011. In addition to CD&R fundraising activities, he also helped establish and plays a significant continuing role with the Firm’s joint venture in India. Prior to joining CD&R, Mr. Smith served as a managing director at Lehman Brothers, a partner at New York Life Capital Partners and an investment professional at J.H. Whitney & Co. Mr. Smith earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

    Mr. Storch joined CD&R’s London office in 2011. He plays a key role in the Firm’s investments in Kalle Group and Mauser Group, serving as a Director of both companies. Previously, he worked at Bain Capital in both London and Munich, where he played a key role in a number of private equity transactions. Prior to Bain Capital, he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in both London and Frankfurt. Mr. Storch graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master of Engineering.

    Mr. Strum joined CD&R in 2003. He has played a key role in the Firm’s investments in agilon health, AssuraMed, Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, Envision Healthcare, Healogics, PharMEDium and VWR International. He currently serves as a Director of agilon health, Drive and Healogics. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley and at York Capital Management, a multi-strategy investment firm. Mr. Strum graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in economics and earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
