Hertz is the only rental car company to have had its CEO endorse the “CEO Climate Policy Recommendations to G8 Leaders.” Hertz continues to offer fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles though The Green Collection and was the first car rental company to launch an electric vehicle rental in the United States in December 2010. Hertz recently launched “Connect by Hertz,” a global car sharing program which aims to provide a convenient, lower-emission alternative to car ownership.   • Sally Beauty For the past 14 years SallyCares has been able to touch the lives of thousands of women in need. SallyCares has spearheaded an effort contributing more than $2 million to fund breast cancer research at the City of Hope. And for the time period of April 2011-May 2012, Sally Beauty Holdings has committed to raise $100,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. The SallyCares Anniversary Fund has donated over $250,000 to women’s and children shelters. In addition, Sally Beauty has partnered with the National Cosmetology Association to provide $1000 scholarships to 10 applicants each year for the past 19 years.
